Lyu Shaoshan, a member of the Communist Party of China and a graduate of the China Central Radio & TV University, currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Formulation Plant at Topfond Pharmaceutical and is also a senior technician. Since starting his career in 1992 as a grassroots electrician, he has progressively become a key figure in the company, accumulating 33 years of rich experience in the pharmaceutical field and making outstanding contributions to the company's development. He emphasizes strong management to ensure production and solidifies safety safeguards. In terms of corporate management and production safety assurance, Lyu has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong sense of responsibility. He innovatively proposed the concept of operating equipment without tools by implementing changes such as replacing bolts, creating conditions for tool-free operations. This not only improved the convenience of production and maintenance but also eliminated safety hazards on the operation site. In addition, he has been dedicated to improving equipment operating conditions, successfully reducing downtime and averaging a decrease in production time of 1 to 2 hours per shift on the inspection and packaging linkage line in Workshop 105. The production line now operates at a stable speed of 160 boxes per minute, achieving one of the highest efficiencies in China. He focuses on technological innovation to help reduce costs. Lyu Shaoshan consistently holds himself to "craftsman" standards and has made significant contributions in this area, delivering substantial cost savings for the company. In 2009, he led a significant energy-saving retrofit project for coal-fired boilers, saving the company 11,591 tons of standard coal annually. In 2011, he spearheaded the installation of a variable frequency intelligent control system for a 2200 kW high-voltage motor (air compressor) and led the team in equipment upgrades and smart renovations, making important contributions to reducing production costs. He tackles technical challenges and turns crises into opportunities for maintaining production. When faced with various unexpected issues during the production process, Lyu always steps up. With his solid expertise and extensive experience, he skillfully resolves crises. He conducted in-depth analysis and research, successfully addressing a sudden issue with the respiratory system of the wet granulator in Workshop 109 by enhancing the respirator and implementing manual bag shaking, thereby providing strong support for the successful consistency evaluation of atorvastatin calcium. He also developed a plan to use domestically produced general controllers to replace the original controllers for the air compressor, achieving a successful initial startup and ensuring the normal operation of the workshop's production. He drives technological innovation and cultivates talent in the industry. To promote technical innovation and talent development within the company, the "Lyu Shaoshan Innovation Studio" was established in his name. This studio has successfully resolved over 80 challenging problems encountered in production, becoming a solid support for operational work. Lyu Shaoshan understands the important mission of the innovation studio; he often says, "The innovation studio is not a showcase for individuals; it should be a talent incubation center." Under his leadership, in 2024, studio members Che Hui and Wang Zhonggui participated in the Henan Province Automation Instrumentation Adjustment Competition and won third place. That same year, Lyu was also recognized as an "Outstanding Master" by the company.
